Our USVH USFCA Chapter is our third national chapter, and our volunteers in San Francisco exhibit dedication and passion toward helping veterans every week. We are so excited to welcome our USFCA volunteers!
Madeline Gregor
USFCA Program Director
Madeline Gregor is a sophomore at USF on the pre-med track pursuing a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She is very excited to be directing the USF USVH Chapter and is looking forward to positively impacting SF VA veterans as well as providing students with hospital exposure and access to clinical hours. She became interested in USVH through her established connection at the San Francisco VA Hospital where she volunteers regularly in the Emergency Department. Maddie says that dedicating her time to helping those who have served her is a great privilege, and that VA hospitals foster very special environments of learning and compassion. Outside of USVH, Maddie also volunteers weekly at Kaiser Permanente and conducts research at USF in Dr. Suni’s Laboratory. In her free time, Maddie enjoys practicing yoga, rollerblading, playing the guitar and spending time outside on sunny days.

Previously, Maia volunteered as a Crisis Intervention Specialist at YouthLine, a teen-to-teen service of Lines for Life: spporting youth struggling with suicidal ideation, substance use, domestic violence, and mental health concerns allowed her to develop a strong foundational understanding of social determinants of health. Maia’s dedication as a lead volunteer has translated to her current involvement with USVH and she is excited to see the club continue to grow. She values fostering relationships with people of all ages, as she currently works with elementary school students at a YMCA before/after school program and elderly individuals at a local senior center.
